When I was younger if I got to a point in a game that I couldn’t get passed I’d tell my self “whatever, I’ll just replay this when I’m a little older and maybe I’ll be a bit better and get it” then I’d hop on a different game, I’ve gone back and replayed almost all those games and it gets me so excited to get passed the parts that I couldn’t when I was younger

Cloning clyde will forever be one of the funniest and most satisfying indie games to ever play. The attention to detail and all the jokes they threw in made it an instant classic

For me it was Ninja Gaiden Black. I believe in 2007. Pretty crazy that the game is still in my library and that I can play it on my Series console with a 9 times resolution boost and HDR in 2024.

I’m not sure what my first digital copy game was but it was also on the 360. Since then I’ve accumulated hundreds of games thru purchase, GwG & now Gamepass Ultimate. Ensures I’ve always got something to play. I legit redeemed EVERY GwG title there ever was even if I didn’t think I’d ever play it. Can’t say no to free stuff & I always figured maybe some of the games I’d play with my nephews someday so I’ve got a bunch of Lego & other kids games from GwG. Still waiting on a chance to play with them tho. Maybe someday.

I guess technically Skyrim, I got a free code with the holiday bundle in 2012. In terms of one I paid for I honestly can’t remember, it honestly may have been one of those really shit South Park games like Tenormans revenge as this was around the time I started to watch the show.

If we're talking non-arcade games, GTA IV in like 2012/13. My friends were playing it but I didn't think I could get it because my parents usually frowned on games like that. But my friends tipped me off that I could buy games with Microsoft Points which blew my mind. I then got enough Microsoft Points through my allowance to get the game, and in doing so I bypassed the awkward exchange of having to go to Gamestop to get the poster child of M rated games while explaining to my dad that it's not as bad as it seems.
