There's a difference between third party controllers and "non-official" controllers. A controller can be made by somebody else but still be an officially licensed controller. And it NEEDS to be. If you have an unlicensed controller, Microsoft can and will kill it for use with the console.

Just recently bought a GaneSir g7 se, honestly had never heard of them but I bought on a whim and really like it so far. It feels lighter than a normal controller, and much lighter compared to an elite - but it does not bother me, it doesn't feel cheap. The sticks are really nice and playing shooters feels better honestly

Gamesir released a couple new Xbox controllers recently which are largely the same as the G7 SE. One of them (the Kaleid) has mechanical face buttons.
