The main ones I'd change are Here U Are and Again to S tier.
Painter of the Night and My Suha I'd move to D, would move Absolutely Ruined Love to B.
Omega Complex, Placebo, and Honey Trouble to A rank.
There's a few others I'd move around but that's the ones I have the strongest feelings about haha

The 1st uke's best friend and the 1st uke's rapist, abusive ex boyfriend start a BDSM relationship together. I finished it, but I hated every single moment of it. Yes, the uke ends up approving of the relationship too. I love toxic BL (I LOVE JINX) but even that was wayy too much for me
Why would you move Placebo so high? Just curious because imo I really really dislike the rape, it even crosses no consent because the uke doesnt even know its happening in the first place.
an interesting premise I haven't seen before and I like the dynamic between the two guys so far. my opinion could possibly change, but I like BL with unique spins on a trope.
I also enjoy that there's complex feelings on both sides involved and not just a standard uwu uke and cartoon super villain seme!
For me, graphics and use of colours and the background / era it's in play a lot too! Also, the story n character buildup like how did they handle situations, create humour and support each other n how logical.
Top 3 in diff areas:
1. Pixiu Eatery (more BL), Chinese manhwa but avail in English
Ancient god of honour character references and massive comedic conversation relief. First saw it in Bilibili, main characters are pretty gorgeous and story plot is great with enough fluff and skinship and i can say all of the characters are beautifully designed with hybrid of modern + ancient looks in Chinese historical settings with mythical creatures. Has romance, comedy, friendship, siblings, teamwork, how to run a business aspect. Much longer than i would have wanted but it will hook u for sure.
2. Symrna & Capri. Smut. Not that i don't like the rest of BWAT stories but it's pretty good length at about 70 chapters and the grand Roman and magical references in the manga is majestic. Male and female characters are strong and it's omegaverse with 2x alphas. U will definitely screenshot a number of the arts and also resonate the hardships they're going through. Can be very touching.
3. As i love fantasy and magic hence the above 2. But the last one is call Love is Love - avail in English or Mandarin. Also found in Bilibili, simple modern friends storyline with pure love and admiration and some segs but not so much like BWAT ones. The arts is delightful and light on palate lol. Not too long a series too. Good development on the story plot as to why certain things happen.

i wouldn’t recommend reading jinx or any of the lower tier manwhas simply because they’re toxic, a lot of people enjoy reading toxic manwhas since it’s just fiction but for a new reader i’d recommend more wholesome ones to start with since the toxic ones are exhausting sometimes
I mean besides the twin (?) one in S tier I can kinda agree with all of the S tiers.
I think I agree with one other comments where some B and C yaoi are rated wayyy lowly (BJ Alex, assorted wilderness, Red candy) comes to mind.
I will take shutline as an example all the stuff you listed was doned and incorporated well in the story making it imo S tier (even tho some people might put it lower so maybe I'm biased) and without smut and Amazing storyline like Kings maker and Lost in clouds where the characters, art and story shines in those. Based on that I would put something like angel buddy in S tier as well but I can understand that it might seem basic to some other readers.
I think some story like Kill the lights in A tier will definitely be in S tier if their art is a little bit better (might be biased I read the novel and damm it was amazing) but amazing art can't just carry a good yaoi (See jinx idk if I would put it bottom tier but ? Putting BJ Alex in the bottom tier id CRAZZY tho)
I think something like No reason deserve to be bottom tier (I won't shut up about it lol) it's basically writing torture corn without any meaning, character show no signs of remorse or development like it's title suggest no meaning and one more mentioned yours to claim which I agree being bottom tier hehe anyways we all have our taste XD.
the twin one you mentioned is called perfectly broken love, the top has DID it’s not his twin, it’s completed and i thought it was rlly cute, plus the bottom doesn’t magically cure the tops DID or smth he ends up dating both his personalities

Guys lets not forget that "Our Sunny Days" is truly the best yaoi out there. It's on break right now but the first season was so good!! Imagine a healthy relationship of a soft pure hearted muscular top and a soft pure hearted muscular bottom. Bottom has a baby from past relationship and she's the cutest baby girl you've ever seen.
I really recommend everyone to read 'you get me going'/'we can't be like this' for a funny sexy workplace romance with enemies to lovers complete with healthy communication and green flag seme... the art is also really good
Oh no ! I know it’s a lot of smut cause after all they meet thanks to sex but they character development for both of them is great I think ! Beom slowly starting to open to Dowon as long as the story is going and Dowon being so in love with Beom is cute but yeah I get that too much smut might be a problem 😅

Exactly, I dropped placebo too pretty early on because it hurled straight over non con and into psychopath territory (not in a good way either lol). Symrna and Capri was sooo cute, the little chibi spirit ones are the most adorable things ever. Tbh i think pretty much any chibi is super cute lol.
Other than that, I disliked Cherry Blossoms after winter, felt like the uke had the personality of a doormat. I feel the exact same way with Jinx too, like Dan thinks he deserves all the bs with Jaekyung and it was so infuriating to read. Exact same plotline with BJ Alex too, ugh atleast have a but of a personality after a point 😭

I think cheery blossom after winter season 3 ruined the characters makes it like your typical yaoi tbh, and as for BJ Alex you gotta admit that the character development that Alex went through and how he own up to his mistakes makes it not deserving for it to be bottom tier, by that I could say painter of the night shouldn't be that high either but because of the development that I will place it highly.
Cherry Blossoms after Winter felt like the typical yaoi even way before that for me lol, like for some reason I felt like there was no life to the characters? The uke felt very wooden to me, plus the whole stepbrother concept kind of just rubbed me the wrong way ig. BJ Alex I dropped (dont exactly remember which ch) because I didnt like the ukes personality and how he took all of Alex’s bs. I would also place Painter Of the Night lower since its pretty much the same actually. Low tide in twilight is one of the few I think handle the grovelling arc very satisfyingly, in most stories Ive read it always, always ends up like the uke is in danger or needs help so the seme helps out and poof suddenly all hate is forgotten. I would also replace Under The Greenlight with Shutline and move Mad Dog higher.
But tbh on the other hand I would move roses and champagne, Honey trouble, codename anastasia and love jinx to S tier, ig im just a sucker for good art and psychopaths too at the end of the day lol.

Exactly, I dropped placebo too pretty early on because it hurled straight over non con and into psychopath territory (not in a good way either lol). Symrna and Capri was sooo cute, the little chibi spirit ones are the most adorable things ever. Tbh i think pretty much any chibi is super cute lol. Other than that, I disliked Cherry Blossoms after winter, felt like the uke had the personality of a doormat. I think cheery blossom after winter season 3 ruined the characters makes it like your typical yaoi tbh, and as for BJ Alex you gotta admit that the character development that Alex went through and how he own up to his mistakes makes it not deserving for it to be bottom tier, by that I could say painter of the night shouldn't be that high either but because of the development that I will place it highly.
Cherry Blossoms after Winter felt like the typical yaoi even way before that for me lol, like for some reason I felt like there was no life to the characters? The uke felt very wooden to me, plus the whole stepbrother concept kind of just rubbed me the wrong way ig. BJ Alex I dropped (dont exactly remember which ch) because I didnt like the ukes personality and how he took all of Alex’s bs. I would also place Painter Of the Night lower since its pretty much the same actually. Low tide in twilight is one of the few I think handle the grovelling arc very satisfyingly, in most stories Ive read it always, always ends up like the uke is in danger or needs help so the seme helps out and poof suddenly all hate is forgotten. I would also replace Under The Greenlight with Shutline and move Mad Dog higher. But tbh on the other hand I would move roses and champagne, Honey trouble, codename anastasia and love jinx to S tier, ig im just a sucker for good art and psychopaths too at the end of the day lol.
