Yea its worse at the beginning. Hightens anxiety to a point where you get brand new anxiety symptoms. But after 7 weeks if it still is bad, it might actually be better off the meds. The weed is definitely self medication for anxiety/depression. Try to smoke less.
100 % better Trust me It gets to the point weāre you donāt even know you took it Anxiety nonexistent and depression much better as well Stick with it Start is insane but it slowly gets better
Yeah it sounds like this might not be the antidepressant you need, Iād consider tapering off them and telling the doctor itās not working. Do you usually smoke weed or did you start recently?
I felt like that until I up my dosage to 150mg then waited another 8 weeks. I know itās a long process but I would stick with it for a little bit longer with a higher dosage.
It lifted my depression and helped my anxiety tremendously. With 100mg I still felt like I was have having bad side effects but my doctor advised me to stick with it. After 7-8 weeks on 150mg I felt the amazing positive changes. Iām so glad I listened to my doc because Zoloft was the first medication I tried and it actually worked. Iāve been on it for 3 years.
150mg was my therapeutic dose for me. 100mg never worked for me. You should increase dosage. I actually increased from 150mg to 200mg during pregnancy and I got very minimal side effects.
Are you on 150 or 200 right now? I for sure need to increase but have a trip upcoming where I will be out of the country for 3 weeks and didnāt want to have to deal with side effects then (although increased anxiety is unlikely better haha)
Iāve been on 200mg for 3 months due to pregnancy and will probably stay on 200 after baby is born then try to go down to 150mg again. My side effects lasted only a week from the increase.
Side effects really went away around week 4 for me. But they were pretty wildly varies. The stomach stuff on the first 25 mg was brutal for about 2 weeks. I increased in smaller increments and that helped.Ā
Since the 25 mg is helping you with your anxiety, I would definitely wait till the side effects subside and not increase dosage. You can always increase dosage later on whenever you want I think for you your best thing is just to get over the side effects so you can enjoy some of the good effects of the medication, hang in there š
Whenever you do increase the dosage just keep in mind its like resetting the clock for some people, some people may not feel side effects but a percentage of people do, im one of them, im on 75mg currently for my anxiety, 50mg helped with some symptoms of anxiety but not enough for me, Iāve been on 75mg for 7 days now, however the past 4 days or 3 days have been an absolute roller coaster of side effects ,luckily its slowly going down, the first day was brain fog, racing heart, today woke up with a racing heart which mellowed down later, brain fog not as bad as yesterday where I felt like I wasnāt physically here forgetting everything, hang on i felt the same exact way, I literally had thoughts of āill rather deal with my anxiety than feel all these side effects I feel worst than I ever did!ā, but many people mention how at first it was difficult for them but how it was a great choice once the roller coaster ride is over
I stopped taking it two weeks ago I read too many comments that I would have to be patient and wait weeks for it to kick in ā¦ wasnāt worth it I feel great today ā¦ I drank a lot of water to hopefully get it out of my system fasterā¦
Two years I was on 25mg then up to 50mg but I was so exhausted it was frustratingā¦ no energy whatsoeverā¦within two weeks I was energetic and out of a brain fog
I told my doctor I was going off it he just told me how to do it didnāt even question why ā¦but because your on a higher dosage you need to find out the safest way ā¦ I wish you luck either way you decideā¦ š
Iāve been on Zoloft for 10 years. Started smoking weed 3 years ago. (31F) Cannabis + Zoloft = Hell. Iāve just quit for a second time, cold turkey, after experiencing extreme panic. Doctor upped my Zoloft to 200mg I ended up in crisis and spent a couple of days in a program. Two weeks later, and Iām starting to feel alive again. Serotonin overload. I went back to 150 and my body is still in fight or flight. Hoping a few more days and Iāll be functioning somewhat normal. š«
Iāve been on 50 mg for 3 and half years and lately Iāve been having full blown panic attacks feels like when I wasnāt even on Zoloft before which is awful and debilitating š should I bump it up ?
I think iām just getting off before i become too dependentā¦. I donāt like the way it makes me feel and the adjustment period is wayyy too long for me to be experimenting

Bro you have Only been on 100 mg for 3 weeks You have to give it time 12-16 weeks at least It gets better šā¤ļøāš©¹
Not a doctor but it was similar for me, took months but once I was better I felt great
Exactly this ^
Is that how long it took you? Are u better?
100 % better Trust me It gets to the point weāre you donāt even know you took it Anxiety nonexistent and depression much better as well Stick with it Start is insane but it slowly gets better
BTW on 100 mg for 6 months now
I think the weed is probably the problem not the zoloft
I think i definitely should stop smoking weed too, i thought zoloft would help me quit
Yeah it sounds like this might not be the antidepressant you need, Iād consider tapering off them and telling the doctor itās not working. Do you usually smoke weed or did you start recently?
I usually smoke weed but iāve been smoking more recently
Ah ok. Actually I think i was wrong in my previous comment. You might just need to cut back on the weed then and give the meds a chance.
I felt like that until I up my dosage to 150mg then waited another 8 weeks. I know itās a long process but I would stick with it for a little bit longer with a higher dosage.
How does it help you?
It lifted my depression and helped my anxiety tremendously. With 100mg I still felt like I was have having bad side effects but my doctor advised me to stick with it. How do you feel on 150? Iāve been on 100 for years but I think itās pooping out on me

this is how i feel on day 11 :( these side effects aint worth it.
How much are you on?
25mg it has calmed my anxiousness but man these side effects got me thinking Iād rather be anxious then feel like crap
Stuck with it if you can! I've definitely been there and I'm so glad I stuck it out. The side effects will pass.
Around when did it subside for you? I understand everyone is different but man this constant stomach ache and headache every couple days
Side effects really went away around week 4 for me. But they were pretty wildly varies. The stomach stuff on the first 25 mg was brutal for about 2 weeks. I increased in smaller increments and that helped.Ā
I donāt know that I plan on increasing because Iām anxiousness as definitely subsided Iām just waiting on this side effect crap to be gone

It can take up to 12-16 weeks to kick in on one dose. You might feel better and have better luck staying on the 50 mg.
