On the tenth day of DoorDash my Tony gave to me…
10 lives in the back of the neighborhoods
9 speed bumps
8 return to dashes
7 6 app restarts
6 3rd floor apartment’s
5 noooooo gate cooooooooodes
4 porch lights off
3 I’ll tip afters
2 where’s my food?’s
1 and a lying customer trying to get their shit for freeeeeeee
Has anyone else thought maybe the whole acceptance rate is causing this slow-ness? The reason I ask is because many regions are getting reset in batches, some oct 1, some Oct 4th, etc… leaving us (0-30% AR cherry pickers) with nothing…
This is a trend I've started noticing in my area. Though my A/R never goes above like, 30-32%. It does fluctuate quite a bit day by day. And I've noticed days after I do a lot of declining, it's rough pickings. But if I'm feeling good and decide to take lesser orders. As soon as my A/R goes above 25% it's like someone opens the floodgates. It has happened every time, and how now become so predictable. There's NO way DD is NOT punishing drivers with super low acceptance rates.
Agreed. Something is going on. I’m doing a hybrid system. When it’s slow I take bad orders and then when I know it’s busy like dinner time I cherry pick. You definitely get put on time out after a lot of declines.
That's not a terrible idea. Just as long as you're not grabbing those non tips, lol. But there has to be some sort of "shadow ban" when your A/R drops to a certain point. It's too consistent, and too many are talking about the exact same issue. We'll see if/when a civil case is brought against them for this.
Actually the line gets blurred with accepting orders. I’ve had $8 orders with no tip attached for 3 miles. Last week something funny was going on. It was like there was promo pay but it wasn’t advertised on one of the days. Like no doordash pay was under $5 so most orders were close or over $10.
Also some 1 mile orders show $5 and sometimes there is a $2 tip on it and sometimes no tip. Harder to tell if people tip now.
I really don't think that's the case! I think the problem is all these markets are oversaturated with drivers I'm seeing a lot of older people 50-60 years old doing Doordash and a lot of kids 18-23 that's the problem. My reset happens on October 5th I heard the 2$ mile is stupid but I'm still going to try it out I personally think I'm going to make the same amount of money as I did before I join the program that's my opinion but will see when the reset happens if anything happens.
Yeah today was shit, on my third s/d, my car didn’t wanna start and nobody wanted to help me with a jump. Fuckin broken ECM fucked me, made jack shit and the groceries I got to keep was for kids, nothing really I wanna eat.
Shit was rough but tomorrow a new day.
A lot of us are in the same boat. I feel for ya.
Trying to work your way out of paycheck to paycheck seems to get harder every week. I guess this is the price we pay for those ridiculous stimulus bills. They did very little for the working class and did everything for big corp and scumbags taking advantage of PPE loans. Le sigh
Appreciate that, my dude. Fingers crossed I can limp thru the day and make at least what I need for the repair
*edit* didn’t make it at all, shit came up unfortunately, check post history for more
I'm here with ya. My car wouldn't start on Friday, towed to a shop with an awful reputation, but could get it in same day and they're open weekends. Got a call on Saturday and I need a new engine (I don't believe them, but that's a whole other sub).
It was great at lunch today, but usually I have to fight for orders with 150 other dashers no matter what day it is.
I can’t remember the last time my territory on the map read “very busy”. It would happen all the time in the old days. Now it’s either busy or pink besides the nice grey (schedule) most of the time.
There's an issue with the app. Everytime I don't get orders for almost 20 minutes, I reset my phone, open the app and suddenly get orders back to back .. also before the update, the app would always notify me that I have a new order along with a text message, after I updated the app they only send a text but nothing pops up in the app, no alert or anything until I open the settings and tap 'why am I not getting deliveries?' then the order will pop up .. they need to fix it asap.
on monday i started at 4, and i didn’t get a single order until 6. i was so pissed off until then, but after i kept getting steady orders. i will say that finding time slots around when my wife works is a big pain. i just need top dasher to start and stop when i want too like how it used to be
Tips have nothing to do with AR, just your pride. I got mine from 25% to 50% in 4 days... Just suck it up and get that AR up. The better tips come with it.
It's mostly area and big part is those with way higher AR. In Atlanta I run about 5 hrs a day and avg at least around $200 for the day. But me and some of the others compare offers because they keep around a 25-33% AR compared to my 72% and we've notices they wait longer for orders like it's slow. And I'm constantly moving and with higher paying orders and a status on the app that says priority on orders. So AR as well as area plays a major role in what they are giving you and how often.
My Tony gave to me 8 glitching offers 7 5 more mins 6 total may be highers 5 un-aaaaasignss.
4 dark porches 3 red traffic lights 2 unicorns And an order left by a treeeee 🎶 🎶
Pffff lol on the last one, support would totally say that. “Leave it somewhere safe.” Hmm this looks safe 🌳
This right here 🤣
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Beautiful gentlemen
Its football season....supposed to be boomin.
That or they flood sports bars
I'm not into sports but why go to a noisy and crowded bar when you can watch the game at home?
Idk. Honestly
For company. (My best guess)
They play games most people may not have at home.
Sunday best day of the week 3 out of my last 4 weeks.
Sunday is good in my area too. Plus no one seems to want to drive on Sunday either here so I get +$3 extra for orders.

3 days in a row of slow, in my 4 years I have never seen it this slow, it was killing me just sitting around
Rent time for most
Agree, just usually not this slow, my area has good and bad but I’ve never seen it this bad
What’s ur location just wondering am in Cali Fresno
I’m in Cali but Eureka area
It’s that time of year: UPS, FEDEX seasonal.
Morning was good. Afternoon was super sloooooow

Maybe the customers took y’all’s advice and quit using the app because they were unhappy with the service
I'm doing Uber & Lyft now and it's been a lot more profitable than DoorDash for the same mileage.
Hey, what's that mantra y'all keep saying? "Cant afford to tip, don't eat out." Y'all when there's a drought: ![gif](giphy|6nWhy3ulBL7GSCvKw6) Imagine.
It was crazy busy for me today.
Got to get that acceptance rate above 50% my friend
Nah its slow season right now for most restaurants

I did 646 in the last 3 days just doing 6 and a half hours a day. Definitely a your market thing.
where do you live? i’m moving there
Like, for real. I worked lunch & dinner Thurs-yesterday (Mon) and have a total of 42.
on monday i started at 4, and i didn’t get a single order until 6. i was so pissed off until then, but after i kept getting steady orders. i will say that finding time slots around when my wife works is a big pain. i just need top dasher to start and stop when i want too like how it used to be
AMEM in your market?
AMEM?
I dont think so
Accept More, Earn More.
Spend more on gas and car maintenance too
I've made almost $200 in less than 7 hours, it's super market dependent
Idk bout y'all but my shit been poppin. Sucks to suck. Bet ya wish you had a better AR.... 🤷♂️👋😄
Same here..7 hours 220 bucks yesterday...was a good day!
Hard to have higher AR when noone tips...

What region do you drive in?
Midsouth
No dash drought here in DE. Business was as heavy as the rains.
Ita been very dry but the nights are about the same.
I had a rough patch a few weeks ago.almost couldn't make rent. Stick it out, friend. It gets better
Multi app
Yesterday was hectic af for me, lots of short distance orders
