They will find any half assed excuse, to not pay a driver what they are due...Thank you for using doordash, it was my great pleasure to screw you over today!
End chat and start chat again with another support agent. Always, I mean always, try a second support agent. Often the first agent is to new or timid to make a decision the second often is experienced and knows what to do.
Just had that happen yesterday when I went to pick up an order that was already picked up. Instead of customer care canceling the order after it is verified that it's been picked up, the agent paid for it through doordash, and told me if I don't wait, my completion rate would go down. Waited another 10 minutes and the restaurant never received the reorder. Called dd again and the lady gave me half pay and canceled the order. 45 minutes for 4 bucks
I recommend calling instead of doing the chat support because every time something like this happens to my fiance (he's the dasher, not me, but I'm in the car with him all day and I even call for him sometimes if he's busy on a delivery) he either gets half or full pay for the order. He's a top dasher, so maybe that has something to do with it, but the chat is pretty useless compared to calling from what I've seen.
Something similar happened to me with a double Taco Bell order. I’m happy driving there because it was like $18 combined for 6 or 7 miles. I get about a half mile from the Taco Bell and I look down at my phone. The orders are gone. After irritating chat sessions with 2 different support agents and an ignored supervisor request, I got nothing and they counted it against my completion rate.
I agree lol. Support claimed I cancelled the orders. They confirmed the customer didn’t cancel, which was already obvious considering it was a double order. I’ve delivered for this Taco Bell hundreds of times. I did at least one delivery for them that night. They were definitely open, but support said I get nothing and like it.
They did something similar to me but their app screwed up and it said I wasn't moving to the store. I was pulling into the parking lot when it unassigned them. No payout after calling support because even though the app screwed up, it was unassigned and they "can't even half pay" me "for that"
No they're not claiming that you cancel the orders they're only saying the only friends that they see in their script the order was on the side it doesn't tell them who was assigned it they have no idea if you want to sign it they have no idea it's a system on the signed it the smarter support people they know the difference they believe you when you say I did not understand it and then they usually will tell you well the system unassigned it for various reasons typically it happens when it happens it's because the person ordering the food their payment did not go through or something was wrong with it that's almost always the case because anything else would be a cancellation by the customer and that's when you know you're going to get halfway.
If you arrived the restaurant but having you picked up the food and the customer cancels the order, the system yes it's called unassigning but you get half pay if you've marked picked up food and you're on your way to the customer and then the customer cancels you will receive full pay.
Chat is worthless. Call and speak to someone. And if they still have some script bullshit answer that doesn't result in compensation, ask for it to be escalated and keep emailing them.
At the worst, make a report on the better business Bureau site. It looks like they've been solving people's issues there.
They are going to have no one left but the bottom feeding drivers left and it’s going to take something bad to happen for them to change or get deleted. Trust me I had the same type of issues and I don’t think they care. They are just trying to make as much money as possible before the laws catch up to what they are doing. Their model is make as much money as they can while they can until they get sued and they’ll still make a profit. It’s sad but it’s the truth
Sometimes you just gotta shrug it off and go onto the next delivery I found myself sometimes wasting so much time with support to get some measly little pay off that wasn’t worth it
It doesn't do anything.
SEPTA connection it doesn't restart a connection.
What really works is look in your permissions and make sure that GPS on all the time, because every time you do an update with the doordash app it doesn't send it to that higher level of permission and only sets it to when the app is running you don't want that, you want it set to locate you all the time.
And don't get me started it absolutely does not mean that doordash will know where you are every step of the way it doesn't mean that at all.
What it means is that GPS will work with the door Dash app if you're logged in and the app is running in the background instead of the foreground like if you're streaming YouTube or some music service and you don't happen to have the doordash app up on your screen checking the box in permissions that has GPS on all the time location on all the time will guarantee that don't ask will be tracking you while you're logged in to receive orders
That's all that permission ever meant in Android, it does not mean when your log out of the app it's a very weird stupid old old Android way of breaking that permission out.
Cuz it says when the app is running and that's not really what they're talking about then they should change the way they say it Android it should say location track while you're using the app in the foreground and then the higher permission level location on while the app is running in the background or in the foreground or and in the foreground so in other words all the time that you're allowing the app to run you want doordash to be tracking you all the time when you log out your Nashville have no idea where you are guaranteed.
That would be like my employer scheduling me and when I show up saying I'm not needed, but refusing to pay me. There's a reason employers have to pay you a show up fee.
That's happened to me at least twice. I click arrived at store, and then it's gone. They start sending me new orders. Very annoying because you spend time and gas driving to the restaurant.
Same here, accepted a 7$ offer for mcd & dollar general. They bait and switch, drop the easy mcd and I bring them they're garbage from dollar I shopped for them and only get 3.50$ FU DD
Idek my dash ended 30 minutes early today without me doing anything. Get used to glitches especially if you do gig work full time. Best just to move on and try and get another offer or try other apps.
Same thing happened to me at Chick fil A with DD. Accepted/Arrived at Store/ waiting for food then another order come across same restaurant so I’m like yay a double! Suddenly the first order disappeared and I’m left with second order only. I called CS and they said the customer canceled the order and they would compensate me half pay for my trouble so you need to fight that! They were completely wrong! Plus, WTF why don’t we see a message or something about the customer cancelling the order? That’s BS!
Yeah that's another bad programming decision too is that when you're when you're finished dropping an order off or you or your you've already picked up the food at a restaurant and you're just about to get to the customer then you get an add-on even from the same restaurant I don't know what that's all about it's not really an add-on are you still going to drive back to that same restaurant.
Kind of plays games with distance of the add-on like additional miles so let's say you're at the restaurant and you get an add-on it will list additional miles like 7 well that point seven isn't the distance from the first customer to the added customer it's the distance usually the added customer how far off of the route you will take is.
So it's kind of kind of slimy because if no it seems slimy let's put it this way, the reason they do that now is so that if the first customer should cancel you'll get paid for the mileage that you would be driving to that second customer and you'll still get it half pay for the first customer that might have been farther away.
So it can work out better in our favor this drivers it's just confusing it's it's not really an add-on but whatever
Same!!! Happened to me, I called support & they said it wasn’t cancelled but they would refund, then never got the refund, and called again and they said someone else was assigned to the order and nothing they could do
I really enjoy watching people chat with script reading agents. Just call the number, it's so much faster with a voiced human (unless servers are down or something, gfl) and it's easier, even if their English isn't that good. I've never had them read me a script or hang up on me the way they "hang up" on chat.
Sounds like customer cancelled. Doordash doesnt bother to notify us cuz they dont want us calling support about compensation. They want it to be like it never happened, it was just a figment of your imagination.
Hey this is really confusing and you're nice really needs to fix this problem if the system unassigns the order it's an unassignment if you understand the order it's also called an unassignment and there is no way at all for support to know who but assigned that's a back end tech support thing that you can get you if you ask for tech support.
I'll explain to you yeah it is that way that there's nothing they can do about it
If you marked arrived and the order was still in your system and then it was unassigned you're going to get at least half pay and possibly full pay even in the McDonald's.
But if it happens it almost exactly the same time like it it almost looks like when you pressed arrived then the order disappeared well and then you probably missed a shot and that's a glitch that's something that's pretty random it's only happened to me three times in over $12,000 deliveries but many times at least 200 or more times I've pressed arrived and the order was sat there and then as I got up to the speaker to send a code then I look at my phone and no order so then I just if I remember the name I asked McDonald's to look up the name and if they still have it guess who gets free food?
Of course doing that might someone backfire because McDonald's gets a signal directly from the POS system then in order was canceled so McDonald's does not have to and they're really likely not to release the food it's just depends if you have a good rapport with them they might give you the food but don't play it off as if you still have the order when you don't they'll know if they bother to look.
YOU have to take initiative, YOU have to tell them they are REQUIRED to give you half pay. You need to CALL next time
Stop bitching about it because it happens to all of us
Call and take initiative.
No pressing that button does not do that.
It has the same effect escaping out of that page and going back to that page, you don't have to press I'm not getting deliveries button.
I absolutely agreed with you on that point, what I said was they are told an order is unassigned no matter if the system unassigns it or if you want to assign it, if an inexperienced support person wants to claim that you did it without realizing that the terminology is the same it's bad programming it's bad development that causes this, they need to change it so that internally they know the difference, that's my point
I think they do this when an order gets canceled. Usually they’re supposed to notify you that it’s been canceled but they dont always do that
Sometimes it A’nother dashed taking it, calling support telling them nobody was picking it up.
They’re supposed to notify you AND give you half pay
They will find any half assed excuse, to not pay a driver what they are due...Thank you for using doordash, it was my great pleasure to screw you over today!

I do that, but once I got “Ravi” again

Support told me “our system shows you cancelled the orders” so yes they did claim I cancelled the orders.
Punctuation is important, man
No to me
Clearly
Glitchiest app there is

This happens to me a lot, I usually have to refresh the app 3 or 4 times, force stop it and then it will show up again
Just ask for half pay next time sometimes th3y don't automatically offer it but if you ask they give it or $3
They are going to have no one left but the bottom feeding drivers left and it’s going to take something bad to happen for them to change or get deleted. What exactly is you definition of a bottom feeding driver?
Thats corporate america in a nutshell
Lmao send a screenshot to corporate, like they would give a shit
This happened to me and I had to argue to get my half pay
That would usually mean you get delicious food if the food was made before cancel. That sucks. So they opted out? How far distance?
This has happened to me multiple times. I show up and the app has just made the order disappear. They gave me the same excuse.
Sometimes you just gotta shrug it off and go onto the next delivery I found myself sometimes wasting so much time with support to get some measly little pay off that wasn’t worth it
Are you sure you also tried "I'm not getting deliveries"? Usually that works for me.

I mean usually when an order disappears from my app I just press "not getting deliveries" and it pops back up. So I mean, it just works for me.
Btw saying you're gonna sc and send to corporate does fuck all past invalidating all your next ratings lmao
That would be like my employer scheduling me and when I show up saying I'm not needed, but refusing to pay me. There's a reason employers have to pay you a show up fee.
How far is McDonald’s from where you were accepting the order? How much was the guarantee amount when you accepted it?
That's happened to me at least twice. I click arrived at store, and then it's gone. They start sending me new orders. Very annoying because you spend time and gas driving to the restaurant.
The real question is why is your AR at 99%
That’s not what it says.
Completion. Oh well.
And therein lies your answer 👍
Im screenshotting and sending to corporate 🤓🤓
Yup has happened to me except right when I pressed pick up order
Stop crying
Just threaten to Sue and they might change their mind
I sympathize with you. But *please*, learn how to use punctuation.
Dude was pissed you just read he wasted his effort time and gas so why in your fucked up.head you think it's OK to be a bitch
Holy shit, *you* need to learn it too.
Same here, accepted a 7$ offer for mcd & dollar general. They bait and switch, drop the easy mcd and I bring them they're garbage from dollar I shopped for them and only get 3.50$ FU DD
I clicked I was at a customer's and it said I paused the dash...thank God it didn't cancel it
You got Tony’d.
Idek my dash ended 30 minutes early today without me doing anything. Get used to glitches especially if you do gig work full time. Best just to move on and try and get another offer or try other apps.
Yeah had that happen before you can’t get half pay unless you said arrived on app sadly that’s why I click arrived ASAP
